Anyone submitting a request for an A+ attendance waiver for days missed must provide the Coordinator with documentation:
- Doctor or dentist - excuse presented to the principal within five days of the actual absence
- Chronic health problem - letter from a doctor and school nurse
- Hospitalization - letter signed by a doctor
- Funeral - funeral pamphlet or program
- Religious holiday - minister's letter
- Exchange student (study overseas for one semester or year) - documentation from agency
- Personal or family calamity, such as a fire, flood, etc.
- Catastrophic illness (long term) - principal or doctor letter
- Intermittent homebound - principal or doctor letter
Reasons Not Accepted
- Personal or family vacation
- Suspension from school for any reason
- Truancy
- Skipping classes
- Transportation problems unless on a late school bus
