This is a list of local scholarships available for Archie High School Seniors.  At this time, the applications are not available.  As they become available, the applications will be posted on this website.

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student
--due Dec. 1st
--Amount of scholarship varies

KLL Memorial Scholarship--due Jan. 10
--$1500, renewable up to four years
--Applicant must have lost the life of at least one parent (biological or not) to cancer before the age of 22
--Be a US Citizen
--Attend a 2- or 4-year post-secondary institution
--Interest in education, arts, environment, math or science
--Community involvement
--Indicate financial need
--Personal essay

Dr. Darrell "Jack" Holley/MUSIC Scholarship
--due Feb 12 to Mrs. Sutton
--$2000 scholarship
--only one applicant from Archie HS
--those interested should submit the application to Mrs. Sutton by Friday, Feb 12
--must attend post-secondary institution
--Essay required:  Why you think you deserve the Holley/MUSIC Scholarship and what makes you unique.

Grand River Masonic Lodge--due March 1
--$500
--Must attend a post-secondary institution or vocational school
--Must be in the upper 1/3 of the graduation class
--Must exhibit leadership qualities
--Need letter of recommendation
--Application is also available in the high school office

Archie Fall Festival Scholarship--due March 1
2-$250
Archie High School senior
Short essay about why the applicant is deserving of the scholarship

Esther Gilbreath Scholarship--due March 1
--$300 scholarship
--Senior girl pursuing education
--Must demonstrate scholastic achievement, moral and spiritual character, strong social skills and leadership
--Application form may also be picked up in the high school office or from a senior advisor

Cass Community Health Foundation--due March 1
--Students must be pursuing a degree in the medical profession, with a priority for nursing
--Minimum GPA of 3.0
--Minimum ACT score of 20
--Scholarships range between $750 and $2500 each for tuition only

MFA Scholarship--due March 15
--Must be attending college in the fall
--Participation and leadership in school and community
--Financial need will be considered

Spirit of '76 Chapter Missouri Society NSSAR - due March 23
--$250
--Must be a student in Cass County
--300 Word Essay: What Patriotism Means to Me in 12 pt. Type and Double Spaced
--If interested, submit a resume to Mrs. Sutton by March 13

Helen Morse Memorial Scholarship--due March 27
--$500
--Preference given to those involved in 4-H and/or FFA 
--Must be enrolled in a college or university for the summer or fall of 2014
--Emphasis placed on leadership skills
--Academic achievements, financial need, citizenship will also be considered

Hawthorn Bank Scholarship--due March 31

--3.0 Cumulative GPA
--Pursue a degree in business or finance
--Received no more than 4 disciplinary actions (detentions, ISS, OSS, etc)
--Application must be typed

Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Vocational Scholarship--due March 31
--$500 (4)
--Pursue certification in fields related to and supportive of agriculture, such as:  Heavy Equipment Operations; Electronics; Welding; Diesel and Farm Machinery Repair
--Must be a member of Farm Bureau

Cass County Retired Teachers Association--due March 31
--$300 (2 scholarships offered)
--Must submit an application that consists of:  GPA, Class Rank, ACT score, transcript, future plans, career objectives, extra-curricular activities and verification signature from Mrs. Sutton

Bates County Farm Bureau--due April 1
--$200
--Parents must be a member of Bates County Farm Bureau
--Ag background
--Community and school involvement

Agrilegacy Tomorrow Scholarship--due April 1
--$1000 (multiple to be determined annually)
--High school senior or current full-time college student
--Must attend a 2- or 4-year college or university
--Must pursue an ag-related career
--Must demonstrate participation and leadership in school and community activities.
--2.5 GPA
--Must have Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or school administrator
--Letter of personal reference
--Copy of High School transcript

Heartland Tractor and Case IH Scholarship-- due April 1
--$1000
--Graduate of a Cass, Bates, Vernon or Barton County High School
--First preference given to a student enrolled in Agriculture or closely related field of study
--Involvement in extra curricular and community activities including academic achievements,  citizenship, church involvement and attitude precepts

Cass County Farm Bureau Scholarship--due April 1
--$500
--Must be a member of Farm Bureau
--Ag or FAC degree
--Provide one letter of recommendation

Archie Alumni Scholarship--due April 1
--$1000
--Must have an educational and career objective
--250 word essay
--Turn in completed application to Mrs. Sutton

Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship--due April 3
--$1500
--Accepted or enrolled in an accredited program leading to a career in health care.

Cass County Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship--due April 4

--Selection based on academic achievement, participation in student, school and community activities

Alice Madden Barton Cosmetology School Scholarship--due June 30 and December 31
--Scholarships are given out twice a year
--Can attend any cosmetology or barbering school

1.  In the CENTER column titled 'CFO Programs' - Click on "CFO Scholarships"
2.  The next page, click on "Browse Scholarships"
3.  Where it says, "Search by CITY" - click on the drop-down, select "Archie" and hit "Search"
4.  You will be able to view ALL of the scholarships available for the students attending Archie High School; plus those for which any‚Äč student living in any city in Southwest Missouri may apply, providing you meet the eligibility.
5.  Some applications will be emailed to Mrs. Sutton; some applications students will be able to download directly from the CFO website; and still others will link to SmarterSelect, a web program that allows you to apply directly online.
6.  Deadlines - Deadlines vary. Be sure to double check deadlines on applications!
